Limited Service Serves us Well

A stagnant and distant government that does not obey the governed creates a great divide within the nation. A government that is non responsive to its people fosters the advance of apathy. An apathetic people creates bad government. Once what was open and honest communication quickly evaporates, becomes non existent giving way to divisive and even hateful partisan politics. Simply put, unhealthy governance. Today both Republicans and Democrats in Congress play an equal role in dividing our nation having created this chasm we find ourselves in today. All in Congress today are just as guilty.

It is a never ending cycle, elitist government lording their status and privilege over the governed leads to more apathy, which in turn nurtures a more restrictive and ineffectual government. Effectively leading this destructive culture are the special interests and their money. By their very design enslaving members of Congress into a hand to mouth relationship, the elected needing the funds from the special interests, elections becoming so expensive, only those who are part of the “problem” can afford to participate in government. This then excluding those who could actually serve the people best. The greed and corruption of the special interests feeds the perpetual state of reelection cycles. This cycle must stop, and no one is Washington is brave enough to do so. It is time We the People put government back into its place of servitude. Anything less will destroy our way of life.
